RUMI S.r.l. works in the producing area of circular machines for knitting factories. Rumi was born in Botticino (BS) in 1962 and it has become well-known and appreciated in the whole world, by imposing itself in the hosiery market.
The firm's activity began with the trasformation of many models (single-double cylinder), such as the famous "Scott William", and in this way it began acquiring more experience.
Then the firm's activity began projecting and realizing its own models, ax example of this is the machine "New Athon", which revolutionized the concept of transferred socks' production, because before it was possible only by linear machines.
For this great innovation, the firm was awarded the prize "Mercurio d'Oro", it was handed over by Giovanni Leone, the President of the Italian Republic in that time.
In 1990 Rumi produces machines for classic, terry and transferred socks for men, women, and children. These machines are exported in the whole world.
The firm is divided in 3 different buildings, in the first one there are the production, the assembling, the testing and the trading departments of the machines.
The second building is reserved to the assembling of the machine's model, instead special pieces are produced, the assembled on the machine in the tird building. In order to guarantee the high technology of the product, the firm constantly invests in the purchase of CNC machines.
Thanks to considerable investments in machinery and human resources, Rumi always offers modern and technologically advanced machines to its customers.
Rumi gives great importance to the direct contact with Italian and foreign customers, by the work od Area Managers and local agents, whick also guarantee efficient after-sales service.
Now Rumi is present in more than 40 countries in the world.
